I'll never forget our sewing class with Mrs. Schmidt. You had used the iron before me and I didn't wait for the iron to cool down before I used it. The ironing board cover started on fire and my robe, that I had just finished, burnt up also. You always had such a sweet personality and a friendly smile. You will be greatly missed by all.
I remember Joan from elementary school at Emmanuel, where she was a good student and very sweet. I will always remember her precise, careful handwriting, which she crafted with such pride. She carried herself with dignity, while I was writing 100 times on the blackboard, "I will act like a young lady." I hope that her life was as good as she was!
